Prabowo Subianto, a former special forces general and Indonesia’s Defense Minister, secured the presidency in the February 14, 2024, election, obtaining approximately 58.6% of the vote. His victory was officially confirmed by the General Elections Commission (KPU) on March 20, 2024. Following legal challenges from his opponents, the Constitutional Court upheld his win in April 2024, affirming the election’s integrity.
